There are dozens of try-on apps on the Shopify App Store, and their listings use almost the same words. This page puts seven of them side by side using only what each app shows on its public listing: pricing, included try-ons, the data the app asks for, languages and what it says about hosting.
We make fesch, one of the seven. Every number for the other apps links back to its listing so you can check it. Everything was last checked on 16 October 2026. Prices on the App Store change often, so treat this as a starting point.
The apps: Antla, GenLook, Icona, TryPoint, AI Frame, Camweara and fesch.
Pricing and volume
| App | Free plan | Entry paid plan | Cost per included try-on | Overage at entry | Higher plans | Trial |

Icona | 10 a month | $14.99 for 150 | $0.10 | $0.16 | $29.99 for 250, $99.99 for 1,000 | 7 days |
GenLook | 10 a month | $19.99 for 100 | $0.20 | $0.17 | $29 for 250, $99 for 1,000 | No |
Antla | None | $19.99 for 100 | $0.20 | $0.16 | $49.99 for 500, $199.99 for 2,000 | 7 days |
TryPoint | 20 a month | $19.99 for 100 | $0.20 | $0.19 | $99.99 for 1,000; pay-as-you-go at $0.29 each | 7 days |
AI Frame | 10 a month | $19.99 for 80 | $0.25 | $0.16 | $59.99 for 350, $199.99 for 1,400 | 7 days |
Camweara | None | $39 for up to 70 products | n/a (priced by product) | n/a | $90 for 300 products, $200 for 3,000 | Not listed |
Notes on the table:
- AI Frame bundles size charts and size recommendations, and Camweara is an AR app for jewelry, eyewear and watches priced by product count, so their prices buy something different.
- On fesch, only finished try-ons count. Failed renders, rejected photos and timeouts are not billed. None of the other listings says how failures are counted.
- Which features sit on which plan varies. GenLook lists branding removal on its $99 plan; Antla lists Klaviyo access from its $49.99 plan; AI Frame lists the multi-language widget and Klaviyo from its $59.99 plan. fesch has the same features on every plan; the Free plan shows a small "Powered by fesch" link.
Data access, languages and hosting
The "Data access" section of each listing shows what the app can read or change in your store. A try-on needs your products and your theme; anything beyond that usually powers email capture, discounts or attribution.
| App | Customer data requested | Order history | Other edit access | Languages field | Hosting claim | Developer location |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
fesch | None | No | Products (edit), theme (view) | English | Hosted in Frankfurt, photos deleted after a few days | Germany |
Antla | Name, email, phone; device and browsing data | Last 60 days | Customers, discounts, web pixels, theme, files | English | None (mentions a "dedicated server" on its top plan) | Israel |
GenLook | Email; geolocation, IP, browser | Last 60 days, returns | Customers, products, theme, app pages, files | Many, about 50 listed | None | France |
Icona | Email; geolocation, IP, browser | Last 60 days | Customers, products; theme view only | English | None | Bangladesh |
TryPoint | Device and activity data; customer data | Last 60 days | Discounts, web pixels; theme view only | 7, including German | "GDPR compliant – shopper photos auto-deleted, never used to train AI. EU-ready" | United States |
AI Frame | Device and activity data | Last 60 days | Products, web pixels, theme and app pages, product publishing; discounts view only | 23, including German | None ("AI-labeled renders (EU AI Act ready)" on its Free plan) | United Arab Emirates |
Camweara | None | No | None (views products) | English | None | India |
The "Languages" field on the App Store lists the languages of the app's admin, not of the shopper widget. Several apps translate their widget into more languages than they list there. fesch's widget speaks English, German, French, Spanish, Italian and Dutch.
Antla vs fesch
Antla has been on the App Store since August 2024, carries the Built for Shopify badge and has the most reviews of the apparel apps here (63, averaging 5.0). Its pitch is that try-on complements your size chart rather than replacing it. Its listing highlights:
- Try-on alongside size charts, unit converters and sizing templates
- Automatic discounts for shoppers who try on
- Sharing, with unlimited shares on its top plan
- Klaviyo, Attentive and Postscript integrations, with Klaviyo access from the $49.99 plan
- A 7-day trial, no free plan
fesch is narrower. It does the try-on itself and the controls around it (which products show the button, a daily limit per shopper, an overage cap). Where it differs from Antla:
- A free plan with 30 try-ons a month
- 200 try-ons on the $19.99 plan against 100
- No customer, order or discount access requested
- Hosted in Frankfurt, with a published DPA
- Failed renders never counted
Choose Antla if size charts, try-on discounts and SMS or email integrations are part of the plan. Choose fesch if you want the try-on with minimal permissions, EU hosting and more included volume.
GenLook vs fesch
GenLook launched in September 2025 and carries the Built for Shopify badge. It adds email capture during the try-on, try-on-attributed sales in its dashboard, Klaviyo and Flow, and many storefront languages. fesch includes more try-ons per dollar at entry, removes branding on every paid plan rather than only the top one, requests fewer permissions, and is hosted in Frankfurt. We wrote a full GenLook alternative comparison.
Short takes on the others
- Icona carries the Built for Shopify badge, matches fesch on cost per included try-on at entry and includes email lead capture and a "Try-on Studio" on every plan, with a 7-day trial on paid plans. It requests customer and order data.
- TryPoint carries the Built for Shopify badge and says it runs on Google's try-on model. It has the most flexible pricing (free, pay-as-you-go, monthly), email capture, a UGC permission flow and a German admin.
- AI Frame is a size-chart and size-recommendation app with try-on included. Worth a look if fit advice is the bigger problem in your store.
- Camweara is live AR rather than photo try-on, priced by number of products. It suits jewelry, eyewear and watches better than clothing.
How to choose
- Start from the problem. If returns are mostly about size, a size tool helps more than a try-on. If shoppers hesitate over how a piece looks on them, photo try-on is the right tool. Our buyer's guide covers what try-on can and can't do.
- Shortlist two or three apps with a free plan or trial and run the same three products through each. Pick a print, a knit and something dark.
- Read the data access section and decide which extra permissions are worth the features they enable.
- Price at your real volume. Estimate try-ons as product page views times 1 to 3 percent, then compare the plan that fits.
If fesch is on your shortlist, you can install it from the Shopify App Store and follow the setup guide.
